As long as I have loved video games, I've loved VG Music as well. From 8-bit chiptunes to going to Live Orchestral concerts, VG music has been the soundtrack to my life.

Currently I'm hooked on the Star Ocean Anamnesis music from the current Brave Exvius Collaboration Event.

Do you guys have any VG tunes that are currently playing in your head?

~~whimsy~~

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
On my iPod I had Katamari Damacy tracks, Castlevania, Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, Fable and some Metal Gear Solid (1 and 3) tracks.

It wasn't the whole album just my fave tracks. Usually I listen when painting or writing.

Most of the music from the Guilty Gear games.
Awesome Japanese speed metal.

This one is special for anyone playing from the SNES era.
Apparently someone got a hold of the original uncompressed samples and used the game's sound data for composition, making a studio-quality version of the soundtrack.

It's not remixed, it's just remastered at a higher fidelity, and it sounds AMAZING!
You can really hear the difference in things like the digitized voices.

A common sight on my playlists.

I like your tastes @L3ggy :)

The Landing is great, but I prefer the original version that came with the demo:

Supposedly they replaced it because it sounded too much like the theme to "The Rock" and they didn't want to get sued. It's still an awesome song though!

That text is so 90's playstation :D

What is Rinoa doing there?

It's from the original demo, and I guess they wanted to give players a taste of Rinoa instead of Selphie.
The level ending cinematic has her as well, and they even replace Quistis with a generic soldier manning the machine gun at the climax.

I think it's too bad they had to replace the song. I like this original version better.

K Rool's theme from DKC "Gang-Plank Galleon", along with the Main DKC theme was one of my favs. Looks like they're finally giving it an official remix for the new Smash Bros game and it sounds amazing!
An upbeat Jazzy, almost Mariachi style with crazy trumpet riffs!

But we can apparently have some without any Metal Gear....

Nice tracks guys! It's more fun when you all share your hits!

I've never been an Xbox player so I haven't heard much Halo music.
I have MGS V but haven't played it. I also have MGS Revengence, and while I haven't got around to it either, it came with a cool OST CD which I'm really digging!

Right now Brave Exvius has a FF XIII event going on. I haven't played the actual game itself, but the song they're using: "Blinded by light" is pretty sick.
It seems to be a favorite of orchestras!

Video Game Orchestra in Boston

From the "Distant Worlds" concert in Japan:

Same version, but synched to that cool CG video in the background:

Speaking of Final Fantasy & Orchestras, this is pretty crazy!
It's the marching bands of the Japanese Self Defence Force, US Marine Corps and the US Army playing & marching to the main FF theme!

Borderlands 2 has a killer soundtrack. Here's a couple of my favourites.

The combat theme when the baddies come out in Three Horns.

And Magnys Lighthouse ambient. Techno Western.
